Families gear up for fun event

ONE-STOP entertainm­ent, shopping, sampling, services and informatio­n for your children at the most loved family expo in the Eastern Cape: it’s all in store at The Herald First Choice Kids and Baby Expo next month.

The Expo takes place from Friday October 2 to Sunday October 4, with live stage entertainm­ent from 9am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday at the Boardwalk Exhibition level.

Visitors will be welcomed with a goodie bag with a flavoured milk and a free magazine for the first 1 500 visitors. Visitors will also receive a colour-coded day pass wrist band. Here is our pick to diarise: ý More than 100 exhibitors, from top private schools to healthcare profession­als, decor, furniture, kids clothing, photograph­y, crafts and toys;

Loads of giveaways and expo special offers;

All day live stage entertainm­ent with daily puppet shows, animal and reptile shows and daily fashion shows;

Indoor action with cricket, pedal kart track and more;

Computer cafe with virtual racing cars;

Art and crafts creative area with sandart and other activities;

Two toddler parks: the Little Munchkins Soft Play park and Windsor Kids Play Park.

Meet characters like First Choice mascot Choco Cow making its first public appearance, along with Barney, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Slush Puppie and Winnie the Pooh;

Mr Pritt daily from noon to 1pm, with giveaways;

A nappy-changing area;

Family-friendly cafe rest areas will include offerings from the Boardwalk Hotel, 3 Fat Fish, Rhubarb & Lime, Habibo’s Griller, Chip & Dip, and Urban Express Coffee Company; and

A dedicated care zone where visitors can contribute to charitable causes like Aurora and the Rhino Foundation.
