Ryanair payouts flying super-high

RYANAIR is to distribute the ß398millio­n (R6.2-billion) it earned from the sale of its 30% stake in Aer Lingus to shareholde­rs before the end of the year, the airline said yesterday.

It will distribute the funds via a share scheme which is subject to approval at an emergency general meeting.

This would bring total funds returned by Ryanair to shareholde­rs this year to ß800- million (R12.6-billion). – Reuters
