Top Pefa league teams in Knockout Cup semis

THE PE Football Associatio­n league programme will take a break this weekend for the semifinals of the Score Energy Knockout Cup.

The premier league is heading for a thrilling finish, with the outstandin­g fixture between champions NMMU Madibaz and log-leaders Callies likely to be the decider.

Victory for the students will see them retain the title, while a Callies win could see the championsh­ip decided on goal difference.

Both teams are in the Knockout Cup semifinals.

Callies are due to play their hoodoo team Central Acemates in Londt Park on Tuesday, while the students take on PE Defence at the south campus.

In their last meeting, Defence, who are struggling at the lower end of the league, shocked the students 4-1.

Tomorrow, the second division semifinals see Hearts Tropics take on Callies Hackers at Lawson Brown High, while Toshiba Old Grey Unicorns play Callies Colts at Londt Park.
