WELL DONE, MR JONAS MCEBISI Jonas, I salute your courage and integrity. May more of your comrades support you and rid our country of the disgrace named Zuma.

GT ZUMA’S position becoming untenable (The Herald, March 17, front page). And the new president, ladies and gentleman, is Atul Gupta. Anything is possible in this banana country run by a bunch of crooks.

ANTON, SHERWOOD CRISIS in our beloved country. Three names that put this country in this mess: Zuma, Gupta, ANC. We need to save one from being demolished by the other two. Who do we save, people?

D GUBAYO, MOTHERWELL WHO is running South Africa? Africans from Africa or Indians from India?

CONFUSED GUPTAS MUST FIRE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT THE Guptas need to fire the whole Eastern Cape Education Department and import competent Indians from India to run that department for the benefit of the poor blacks living in the Eastern Cape. The ANC is not interested.

RACIST ATTACKER IS A DISGRACE TO the pizza deliveryman attacker. You are a complete coward for not coming forward, but one can’t expect anything better from someone who uses such foul language. You are a disgrace and the unfortunate thing is innocent people are classed in the same category as you.

DISGUSTED RE pizza deliveryman racist slur. On Saturday March 5 I assisted a black gentleman pushing his motorcycle up 6th Avenue hill, after he had run out of petrol. I went to the local garage, bought fuel and returned, gave him the fuel without charge and helped him on his way. He was from Debonairs in Walmer and this can be confirmed by asking their management. There are always two sides to a coin and I wish that both sides were shown more often, for all the good that others are doing, and not focusing on the few people who tear down racial relations.

HELPING HANDS

BRIBE FOR 2010 WORLD CUP RE: SOCCER. So it is now acknowledged that South Africa paid a bribe for 2010. What say you, Mr Mayor, Danny Jordaan? Who carried the briefcase?

MAUD VAN VUUREN ABUSED BY TAXI DRIVER I WAS called a “pink pig” by a taxi driver. Who can I complain to? Rather have a hotline as the media seem to thrive on white-on-black incidents and hardly ever expose the reverse. Like the CCMA, they evaluate first before deciding. The racial tension is already high and this impacts heavily on all whites.

TURN OFF THE LIGHTS CAN any municipal worker or official help. The lights at Valley Road are on 24 hours every day. I noticed it’s been a week now that they have stayed on day and night.

PE RESIDENT GET TOUGH ON DRUNK DRIVING THIS senseless and reckless accident makes my blood boil! If the driver is found guilty of drunk driving, then I hope this drunken murderer rots in hell for taking the life of beautiful Jamie Baartzes. So sad!

CHER, PE

SHOCKING. Drunk drivers are murderers.

SHOCKED FNB MOVE INDEFENSIBLE FNB to retrench and close branches. Made R11.3-billion of profit last year. So, in tough economy with unemployment and limited opportunities, retrenches and closes branches to grow profits further. The ugly face of capitalism. Executives will get bigger bonuses; lesser mortals suffer. Immoral and disgusting. Indefensible.

HD FNB: Is screwing the employees and customers to make even more profit really any different to corrupt ministers and Guptas?

SIMON NOT PAYING MORE DSTV has removed a top-notch international fashion programme and replaced it with junk, lacking even the merest hint of artistic merit. Also, is the worst European soccer reserved for 203? A transparent effort to drive one to pay more.
