Think before you cast vote

-

TOMORROW will be the first time, in my opinion, that the people of Nelson Mandela Bay will truly have the opportunity to vote in a democratic election. There is no black and white, ANC versus DA, although Jacob Zuma insists black people have to vote ANC.

He feels free to insult and categorise people by race and culture. I’ve news for you, Sir: your people, black, have seen through your empty promises and dishonesty, and will vote with a clarity of mind that has been absent in the past.

Thanks to the Zumanisatian of the ANC, the DA can safely claim to represent the ideals and vision of the great Nelson Mandela. Zuma and his cronies have insisted that Mandela belongs to the ANC, their reasoning being he was black and an ANC member.

I’ve news for you, Mr Zuma: political membership doesn’t guarantee votes. People should vote based on policy and performance, and unfortunately for you, Sir, your ANC has failed the great Mandela and you bring shame and dishonour to his legacy.

Who would have thought Steve Biko would be prophetic when he said he feared the day when the liberators of this great country drove Mercedes Benzes and fed off the misery of the poor? That day is upon us, people of Nelson Mandela Bay.

Vote for the party that will restore this metro to the greatness that Mandela envisioned, vote for the party that will redress the injustices of the past, vote for the party that represents all South Africans regardless of colour and the only party that has an undisputed track record of delivering on its promise of freedom and fairness for all.
