Crusaders A beat arch-rivals Londt Park to extend lead on log

CRUSADERS A registered a significant win over closest rivals Londt Park A in the EP women’s first squash league this week to extend their lead on the log.

The well-balanced Saders side went into the match with a six-point advantage over Londt Park and the 9-4 result win has stretched that to 11 points, with one round remaining in the first half.

Only Lizelle Goosen was able to win for Londt Park, while Di Schultz, Bianka la Mude and Kathy Hoy sealed the deal for Saders.

The men’s league saw frontrunners Crusaders and Londt Park A pick up maximum points, although the Londt Park team, just two points behind, have a game in hand.

Saders must also still play the two strongest teams in the competition, Londt Park A and NMMU A.

THE Joe Davis Locksmiths Crusaders Challenge is the next tournament on the calendar, being played from June 9 to 11.

The entry fee is R80 and there will be sections for all levels.
