NIGHT MARKET

POOCH WALK OF HOPE

THE Boardwalk teams up with the Animal Anti-Cruelty League for the Walk of Hope – in aid of abused and neglected animals – on Saturday. Bring your dog for a fun walk of 5km starting at the Boardwalk parking area at 9am. If you don’t have a pet to bring along, you can “adopt” an animal for the walk. The walk costs R40 and proceeds go to the AACL. There will be fun stalls and entertainm­ent. All dogs must be on a leash. Inquiries: Amanda, 082-492-2744.

GERMAN YOUTH BAND

THE Nelson Mandela University music department hosts the Ulm Philharmon­ic Youth Wind Band on Thursday at the South Campus Auditorium at 7.30pm. HEAVY METAL CHAMPS

CUSTOM City will hold the second round of the DO4SA Heavy Metal National Championsh­ip, as well as a national qualifier for all other classes, on Saturday at Victory Raceway, in Victoria Drive, Walmer.
