Madibaz thrash Rising Stars in Pefa league action

-

SCORE Pefa Friday Night lights brought three games, which kicked the weekend off in style.

NMU Madibaz trounced Rising Stars 9-0 at South Campus.

The other Friday night games were much closer affairs, with NMBM welcoming Central Acemates to the Westbourne Oval.

Acemates would have been expecting to take all three points, and they did just that, securing a 2-0 victory.

Mahle Old Grey had home advantage over Leeds United.

After squandering many chances in front of goal, Mahle Old Grey eventually scored two, a Luvuyo Pele Bika penalty and a great solo effort by Waylen Peters, scraping home 2-1.

Leeds United salvaged a late consolation goal after a very spirited performance.

On Saturday, PE Home Rovers locked horns with PE Defence at Kemsley Park, with PE Defence emerging as the victors in a 3-2 result.

Blue Ribbon St George’s shared the points with a depleted Forresters side after a 1-1 draw.

Sunday’s only fixture saw Hearts take on Chippa United at the Westbourne Oval.

In what was never going to be a contest, Chippa defeated Hearts by four goals to one to record their 16th straight victory. The goals came from Dimarco Booysen, Zusakhe Sali and Zukise (2).

Callies had a bye due to Highbury being expelled from the league due to non-fulfilment of fixtures.
