God involved in all aspects of what happens on Earth

-

IN response to the chirp by Reader, I got the impression my mention of God did not go well with him (“Using God to support ideas”, July 17).

Let me begin with an illustration as to why God should be involved in the affairs of the Earth.

Let’s say you own a property and you put tenants in it. You then notice they are damaging your property.

Will you not warn them if they do not stop, you will evict them?

Likewise with God, the Earth belongs to him, he created it.

So he has a legal right to warn mankind for damaging his property, the Earth. He is fully justified in doing so. The prophet Amos brings to our attention that God will always “reveal” or warn mankind before taking action.

It shows God’s love and patience with us (Amos 3:7).

Who do you think is the wiser of the two, man or God?

When we compare the lifespan of man with that of God, man lives an average of about 70 to 80 years and then dies. God however does not die, he is from eternity to eternity.

When God compares man’s wisdom to his, the Bible says, “The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight” (1 Corinthians 3:19).

God made mankind as free moral agents. The choices we make, God warns, have consequences.

If anyone repudiates his warnings, they actually become “fighters against God himself” (Acts 5:39).

As for me, at the outset I made known my belief in God. Do you believe in God?
