THE quarterfin­als of the Pelfa Old Buck Legends League will be played tomorrow.

Last week, Kuyga Masters clinched the inaugural league championsh­ips by just one point after beating Westpark 3-1.

The champions were to play PE City in the preliminar­y round of the KO Cup at the Victoria Park Sports Club last night.

The winner will play the winner of the second preliminar­y round match between Hearts and Mahle Old Grey.

Callies, who finished second in the league after beating NMB Municipali­ty 3-1, play Westpark at the Londt Park Sports Club.

Three teams tied for third place, with African Leopards top on goal difference, ahead of Old Grey and Shamrocks.

Quarterfin­al fixtures:

Kuyga Masters/PE City v Hearts/Mahle Old Grey (TBA), Shamrocks v Priory (NMU south campus), African Leopards v NMB Municipali­ty (Victoria Park Sports Club), Westpark v Callies (Londt Park).

MAJOR Chiefs extended their lead at the top of the Ntando Tours Zwifa Premier League on Sunday when they thrashed Gal City 6-2 in their own back yard.

Manchester City closed the gap for the runners-up berth with a 2-1 win over Hungry Lions.

Zwide Pirates scored an easy 3-0 win over Kuyasa United to advance three places to seventh on the league table.
