Convicted of common law crimes in court

-

YOUR reporter’s article on the front page on Tuesday regarding the burial of hanged prisoners (“Long wait for activists’ families”) refers.

What the article failed to mention is that those hanged were convicted of common law crimes and not political crimes which are a figment of somebody’s imagination.

Motives might have been political and that is debatable in a number of the crimes in which these prisoners were involved.

Like all other hanged prisoners, black and white, and male and female, there was a procedure for burial of these prisoners.

Maybe a correction of the facts would be in order.

Methinks it is yet another issue to keep the minds of party members focused on instead of the real issues facing us all.
