DREAM TEAM PERFORM

SA hip-hop trio Dream Team are kicking off their national tour in the Bay tomorrow . They will be at the Dockside club in the harbour from 8pm. BONSAI SHOW

THE Eastern Province Bonsai Society is holding its annual show today to Sunday at the Diaz Club in Newton Park. Hours are today and tomorrow from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday from 9am to 1pm. THE first Mandela Bay Jazz Legacy Festival will be held at the Opera House in John Kani Road next Friday and Saturday November 24 and 25. On the Friday, bass player Lex Futshane will lead a group, which features McCoy Mrubata, followed by Dumza Maswana and Sizwe Yaze. On the Saturday, pianist Andile Yenana will lead a group featuring Marcus Wyatt, Ayanda Sikade and PuUmulani Mtiti, followed by Themba Ncethani and John Edwards. THE Plett Wine and Bubbly Festival is next Saturday and Sunday from 12pm daily and will showcase more than 30 local wines and bubbly. THIS Sunday’s Jazz’Afro Sundays programme at 5pm at the PE Opera House Barn will be a hip-hop edition featuring Ohayv and Yahkeem. Ohayv is a soul singer, vocalist and rapper blending hip-hop and traditiona­l folk soul with a touch of jazz. He is the founder of acoustic soul band Usiba Noncwadi. Makhi Fibi is popularly known as Yahkeem The Mastabilda. He is a multi award-winning rapper whose music resonates widely. Tickets are R70 each (R50 for pensioners).
