GLORY DAYS OF RUGBY OVER

THE truth unfortunately seemingly is that the glory days of rugby and the very short one of soccer are over. It will only be hype from now on. A loss by a point to the New Zealanders was a loss and so against the Welsh with two. What next? The players, like the coach, are fading out even though on paper they are the best. The Blitzboks, however, digging deep and running on high octane, are seemingly in a good space.

REPLIES TO COMMENTS

“END bucket system first” (December 5)? Notti, do remember we adopted this problem from the ANC. Another national catastrophe.

CAS PILLAY, KORSTEN, PORT ELIZABETH PAX, like all ANC “sheep” you missed the point completely (“Replies to comments”, December 4). The three “dictators I named” are all Third World and wicked, evil people. I do not like “bad” people, be they black, white or pink. The four you mention are all First World and none of them dictators.

Bill Maher has nothing good to say about the Africans you accuse me of being ignorant and prejudiced against. I grew up and was educated in the First World 68 years ago, and do not believe I have much to learn from a bigot like Maher or you.

LEON Marshall (“Public must save, but water flows from leak”, December 5), good for you for sending a photo of water wastage. I know of other residents reporting this leak and in Salvia Crescent too.

No wonder we have these small flying insects all over the city. The metro officials must investigate where they are breeding. PE has never been so filthy as now.

PICTURE OF NEW MISS SA

NOW that our Miss South Africa has been crowned Miss Universe, how about placing a picture of the first princess who has taken over the role of Miss SA?

READER THE Herald on Friday published a picture of Adè van Heerden, who had been crowned the new Miss SA the previous day. – The editor

MANY MUST STILL ACCOUNT

BUSISIWE Mkhwebane has not done anything yet. Let us not be taken up by her latest findings (“Mandela funeral probe ordered”, December 5). There are still big fishes like JZ and others who must account.

NEED OWN BATHROOMS

IT’S high time that each unit in the retirement flats has its own toilet and its own meter. This communal toilet, bath and shower system is not working as other individuals flush toilets the whole 24 hours with no care, some individuals are out the whole day.The municipality must subsidise individual toilets and metering for places like Buffelsfontein Retirement Village flats. The communal system is very old, unhealthy and unfair.

CHARGE ZUMA

LOOK at JZ, charge him and send him to jail, then take out his cronies. You will go down, JZ plus your sons. Time and history has proved that has happened!
