SUMMERWOOD: Our normal times of play: Men’s social bowls on Mondays tabs-in close 1.45pm. Women’s social bowls on Tuesdays. Tabs-in close at 8.45am. Mixed bowls on Thursday mornings tabs-in close at 8.45am and Saturdays at 1.45pm. Visitors most welcome. Greens close from December 21 to January 4. Huge thanks to all our members for a most wonderful Christmas dinner and congratula­tions to our winners receiving trophies at prize-giving.

Pot luck tabs-in; Saturday, PM The GBS-PEBC annual Xmas Festival of Bowls takes place. Generously sponsored by the GBS Mutual Bank. Two games of 15 ends each, followed by cash prizes and an Xmas braai. Competitio­n fees R30; braai, salads and rolls R50. Dress: festively casual; Sunday, 8.30am Arrange games for men and women. Finesmaste­r: Johann Strombeck; Tuesday, PM Social mixed tabs-in bowls. All welcome.

UITENHAGE: The Thursday evening MSC Business College Pro-ten results winners were Shorty Serrao and Estelle Theunis. Runners-up: Suzette Naude and Greg Michaelide­s. Draws were won by Manfred, Amanda, Pillie, Trevlyn, Suzette and Malcolm. The attendance draw creeps up to R300 on Thursday evening, which is braai night. Salads and bread rolls are supplied. Bring own meat or buy a braai pack from the club. December 16 is the last of the cancer fundraisin­g. All proceeds will be donated to cancer. Bowls will be played in the morning, with a braai to follow. Members are reminded of the wacky Wednesday special prices in the bar in the evenings.

WESTVIEW: Tabs-in on Wednesday and Sunday at 8.50am for 9.00am. Saturday tabs-in at 1.50pm for 2pm. Cutthroat on Friday at 9.20am for 9.30am. Visitors welcome.
