DELIGHT IN SUMMER

POP artist Matthew Mole and Afro-soul star Zahara will perform at the SPAR Delight in Summer festival that is on until December 31 in the Bay. Mole will perform tomorrow at the Movie and Carols by Candleligh­t evening at Happy Valley from 5pm, and Zahara will headline the Sizzling Sessions at the Tramways Building next Wednesday from 5pm. MYSTERY OF MAGIC

BAY illusionis­t and magician Brendon Peel presents a new show, Mysteries of the Mind, at the Savoy Theatre at 7.30pm until tomorrow. FOLK SONG LAUNCH

FOLK rock band Zambuktu will launch their first CD, Songs of Love and Death, tonight at Art On Target in Target Kloof. Zambuktu’s core members Joe van der Linden and Tim Hopwood will be joined by John Dickin, Kendal Beadon, Megan du Toit and Herman van Wyk. Tickets are R100 at the door.

Tomorrow night at the same venue writer, singer and spoken-word performer Hagen Engler presents A Lyrical Journey, an evening of adventures in words. The show incorporat­es stories, anecdotes, rhymes, raps, poems and acoustic songs. Guests will receive a free copy of one of Engler’s books. Tickets cost R70 at the door.
