THE Genealogical Society’s East Cape Branch is hosting a talk by Maureen Phillips on being at school during World War 2 tonight. BOOKSALE
THE Children’s Feeding trust charity bookshop will be having a book sale from today to Saturday March 3 from 10am to 4pm during the week and Saturday from 9am to 2pm. The shop will also be open on Sunday at 9am until 2pm. All books will be on sale for R5. Mills and Boons romances and magazines will be sold at R1. Stock will be replenished daily. EVITA COMEDY
PIETER-Dirk Uys brings his latest solo comedy Evita Bezuidenhout and the Kaktus of Separate Development to the Athenaeum in Athol Fugard (formerly Belmont) Terrace in Central from Thursday to Saturday. Uys is also presenting a second solo show, Echo of a
Noise, from February 26 to 28. For both productions tickets are R130, shows start at 7pm and booking is at Computicket.
SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK
THE PE Shakespeare Society is presenting The Merchant of
Venice from Wednesday January 21 to Saturday, March 3, at Mannville Open Air Theatre in St George’s Park. Tickets are R65 for adults and R40 for students and school pupils and tickets may be bought at the venue on the night. The box office opens at 6.30pm each night and the play starts at 7.30pm.
