LION City will be chasing a second consecutive win when they play away to EC Bees in an ABC Motsepe League fixture at the Bhisho Stadium this weekend,

City bounced back from three straight defeats to beat Future Tigers in their last league match.

The win saw them take eighth place on the log, with 27 points from 22 games.

Hosts Bees will be banking on home ground advantage to help them beat the Motherwell soccer side on Saturday. Bees, who are only three points behind second-place PE Stars, will be out for a win to overthrow Stars and assume second position on the log.

But, most importantly, Bees will want to end their three match winless run.

Meanwhile, a win on Saturday is necessary if Stars want to keep their second-place spot on the log.

The Port Elizabeth side host an in-form Matta Milan and Stars know it will be a hardfought three points if they win.

Milan, who are 10th on the log with 25 points from 23 games, have not lost in four matches and will be out to continue with their winning spree this weekend.

A win against Stars could see them enter the top eight bracket.

Saturday fixtures: 3pm. Future Tigers v Bizana Pondo Chiefs (Ginsberg field), FC Buffalo v Highbury (Jan Smuts Stadium), EC Bees v Lion City (Bhisho Stadium), City Lads v Spears FC (Mt Ayliff Stadium), PE Stars v Matta Milan (Saints Grounds), Butterworth FC v Sibanye FC (WSU Sports Field), Tornado v Swartkops Valley United Brothers (North End Stadium).
