Madibaz stumble opens door to rivals

THE race for the Safa-NMB SAB League title will be heading down to the wire after NMU Madibaz drew both their matches and failed to secure the title at the weekend.

The students drew 2-2 with closest rivals Major Chiefs on Saturday and 0-0 with Roaring Tigers the next day.

With two matches remaining, Madibaz have a nine-point lead over Chiefs who have a match in the hand.

If both win their remaining matches the championsh­ip will be decided on goal difference.

Madibaz are way ahead on goal difference. Fairview Rovers remain third, a point behind Chiefs, after their goalless draw with Amarhamba United.
