De Klerk and Felkers shine in league action
Mechatronic Uitenhage’s Jade de Klerk made the only hundred on the opening weekend of the NMB Premier League, while BLG Gelvandale’s Trevor Felkers claimed the lone five-wicket haul.
Gelvandale had a superb weekend, winning both of their matches, as did Tavcor Commercial Old Grey, who blasted away their opposition.
De Klerk had a particularly good all-round weekend, making 54 in a losing cause against Old Grey before blasting 121 not out off only 89 balls against SUPERSPAR Despatch.
Felkers took five for 29 as Gelvandale thumped Jendamark United by six wickets.
SA Home Loans Unions also got off to a flying start whipping Bloemendal on Sunday after the Finnis Street side had handed out similar punishment to United Brothers the previous day. Summarised results
