Chance for fans to be on Noah show

Comedian Trevor Noah is offering fans a chance to be interviewe­d by him on the set of

The Daily Show as part of his charity work and campaign to raise R4m for girls’ education.

Noah started a crowdfundi­ng page for the initiative last week and has so far raised more than R191‚000.

He has promised to match any donations rand-for-rand up to R2m.

Noah shared informatio­n about the initiative at the Global Citizen Festival at the weekend and got a pledge of $50m (R707m) from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Noah is not letting up on his efforts to raise funds and launched a competitio­n for people to win an epic trip to New York to appear on the show as a guest.

Among the things you can win are:

● Hang out with Noah and sit down for a one-on-one interview with him after a taping of

The Daily Show;

● Score two VIP tickets to the show;

● Enjoy exclusive green room access and explore Comedy Central’s World News Headquarte­rs; and

● Flights to New York City and stay in a four-star hotel.

Meanwhile‚ local radio personalit­y Anele Mdoda has also started a crowdfundi­ng initiative to raise R1.1m to replace pit toilets in schools across SA.

So far Mdoda has raised R127‚660, after committing R10‚000 herself. –
