Old Grey get a breather

As log-leaders Tavcor Commercial Old Grey take a break until the new year, the chasing pack will be looking to make up some ground in the NMB Premier League cricket tournament this weekend.

This is the last weekend of action before the festive season hiatus and it is a shortened programme.

Second-placed Mechatronic Uitenhage are also not playing, so BLG Gelvandale will be looking to leap-frog them with a victory over United Brothers on Saturday

But Brothers are normally a tough nut to crack at Dan Qeqe and Gelvan will need to be at their best.

In the only other game of the weekend, Jendamark United travel to Finnis Street to face Bloemendal on Sunday.

United are coming off a good win against Old Grey at Kemsley Park last weekend and will be confident.

Fixtures Saturday

United Brothers v Gelvandale

Sunday

Bloemendal v United
