Cops investigate ‘axe attack’

Police are investigating an incident in Greenbushes in which a couple allegedly attacked a man with an axe on Saturday.

“The 53-year-old complainant alleges an exgirlfriend and her friend attacked him, taking cash, cigarettes and food,” police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said.

“He ran to the neighbour’s house for help. He was taken to hospital with cuts to his chest, hip and hand.”
