STUDENT ART

The candidates show 2019 is an exhibition of work by NMU master’s students in the visual arts department in the School of Music, Art and Design on show at Bird Street art gallery. ARTHRITIS TALK

Township Enviro-Green has invited the Arthritis Foundation of SA to give a lifestyle talk on arthritis in the New Brighton library at Nangoza Jebe Hall in New Brighton on Wednesday February 20. The talk is from 2.30 to 4.20pm. Entrance is free. Inquiries: Sizwe, 071-9835003.

ART ON TARGET

Art on Target opens its Milestone exhibition on Friday February 22 at 6pm, with work by top students Alvarito Felix, Tristan Drewry, Debra de Beer as well as a selection from its most promising students. Milestone runs until March 11 with viewing hours 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Inquiries: BA Moolman, 041-3733334.

BIRDLIFE TRIP

Birdlife Eastern Cape is going on an all-day outing on Saturday February 23 to Innikloof farm at Hankey, led by Andy Nixon. Meet at 6am on Saturday at the Pick ’n’ Pay carpark in Fourth Avenue, Newton Park. Petrol will cost R90 per passenger and there is an R20 entry fee to the farm, which has a forested kloof where you will be looking for the African warbler and African finfoot.
