BYE-BYE DStv

We have had DStv premium since its inception but now think it is time for subscribers who feel as ripped off as we do to start making their voices heard. We have now had another British channel, 119, taken away but we are told we will be having “Peaky Blinders”, old series, “Downton Abbey”, how many more times?

They are adding more telenovas dubbed, another children’s channel and a Korean channel! We can also watch fashion channel. This is just mind-boggling — models walking up and down all day.

We are told we can watch Showmax, which is just a repeat of all the M-Net programmes. The English Premier League will just be one match — anything else you pay extra for. I have been through all the programmes on 120 for the next week and it is mostly “Top Gear” hour after hour.

Is this the best you can do for R900 a month? I don’t want rebates, I want decent, intelligent and entertaining programmes. This is junk viewing and I have had enough.

Disgusted and about-to-leave subscriber

For five days I visited DStv offices as my tablet did not want to stream. After using two gig of data and chatting to five different technicians and with the manager’s assistance, I was informed that my tablet is outdated. I need to take it for an upgrade. Now suddenly, after doing nothing to my tablet, I can suddenly stream. Just proves the pathetic service from DStv in Port Elizabeth. You should be ashamed.

SPORTS CHANNEL CONFUSION

Where did the sports staff get the so-called channel numbers as shown for the tennis times for the last two days? Can anyone explain “GSD, ACT, TEN”?

Sagittarius

● SuperSport has opted to rejig and rename all of its sport channels as of September 1. The schedules and channel names used in The Herald every day are provided by SuperSport. To simplify matters, from today, PR The Herald will add a key for the new dedicated channels.
