Chippa United may need just a point to make sure of their place in the Premiership next season but coach Lehlohonolo Seema said his troops would be gunning for all three against Golden Arrows in the season finale at the Orlando Stadium tomorrow (3.30pm).

The Chilli Boys have maintained their 12th spot on the log despite their 1-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday and remain on 31 points and only three points adrift of Baroka in the promotionrelegation playoff spot of 15th.

A point against Arrows will be enough to see the Port Elizabeth side survive.

“It will be another tough game. Golden Arrows are going to come hard at us because they are still looking for their first win in the [bio] bubble,” Seema said.

“So it is going to be a difficult game, especially with the two red cards we received against Chiefs.

“We need to reshuffle the squad again.

“We will try to see how we can manage the team and also put a strong team out again that will fight for the point.

“We are not looking for anything less than a point or three points, because even if we are safe we want to get the highest amount of points we can.”

The former Bloemfontein Celtic mentor said the mood in the camp had been a bit low after Wednesday’s setback but after a team talk it seemed to have lifted.

Speaking about their loss to Amakhosi, Seema said it was not the defeat that disappointed him but that his troops did not execute their plan.

“We expected Chiefs to come at us the way they did on Wednesday and to look for that early goal because our match was one of the games they knew they had to do anything in their power to win.

“I am not disappointed that we lost. I am disappointed that we did not start the way that we wanted to start.

“We knew we had to take care of the ball from long balls and crosses.

“If they manage to cross the ball we should mark properly and be able to deal with the ball in the box.

“But we couldn’t — we conceded in the first 15 minutes.”

Asked about the controversial decision made by the referee in denying his team an equaliser in the 78th minute, Seema said: “I never talk about the referees.

“If he has made a decision, for me to talk about it now will not change things.

“The referee’s decision was there for everybody to see. They are human.

“They’ll make mistakes sometimes.

“One day it will be me benefiting from their mistakes and the next day I will be on the receiving end, so I never complain about the referees.”
