PRICING VILIGANCE

-

The letter on pricing products was spot on (May 4). However, misleading and mendacious advertising needs attention. Ads telling consumers to buy for RX and save RY are crookery. When the consumer checks his bank balance after buying for RX he finds it depleted by that amount. There is no saving of RY! The advertising standards authority needs to stop this type of advertising.

Mongrel Well said, Leon Marshall. My pet hate is two for the price of X. I do not want two. I am a pensioner living alone. I now buy what is available by weight.
