HERITAGE DAY PICNIC

The All-White Heritage Day Picnic, presented by the organisers of the annual Ebubeleni Festival, will be held at Victoria Park from 11am until 6pm on Saturday.

The event will feature performanc­es by Zonke Dikana, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Nomfundo Moh, Putuma Tiso, Ntsika, Joliza, Siya Koyo, Hermanos and Lorna Targaryen.

HERITAGE DAY CELEBRATIO­N

Greenacres Shopping Centre will celebrate National Heritage Day at the weekend.

The theme of this year’s event, #celebrateo­urown, will include a school, performers and cultural dancers who will provide a variety of entertainm­ent from the diverse cultures of SA.

Local artists will also be given the opportunit­y to showcase their art throughout the various courts in the centre during the Heritage Day weekend.

MUSIC TRIVIA

Cheshire Home at 7 Gomery Avenue in Summerstra­nd is hosting a music trivia evening on September 30 at 6.30pm.

Boerewors rolls and refreshmen­ts will be on sale. Guests can bring their own snacks and drinks.

MUSIC CONCERT

Violinist Tim Kliphuis and pianist Charl du Plessis will perform for the PE Music Society on September 29 at the Nelson Mandela University south campus auditorium at 7.30pm.

They will perform a recital programme with works ranging from baroque and classical favourites to jazz standards.

Tickets cost R95 for adults, R80 for pensioners, R45 for students and R35 for pupils, at the door.

MANDELA BAY ARTS FESTIVAL

The Mandela Bay Arts Festival, a showcase of performanc­es in poetry, theatre, comedy, dance, music and other discipline­s will be held across various venues including the Mandela Bay Theatre Complex, St Thomas High School and Masifunde Learner Developmen­t Academy from September 23 to October 2.
