Girls go wild for red-hot dance show

- Nicolette Scrooby

The city’s entertainment scene was sizzling on Saturday night as Pulse dancers fired up ladies night in Gqeberha with their show at the Board walk Expo Centre.

More than 200 women eagerly waited to see ripped performers take to the stage guided by MC Eli Haimov, who convinced women to step up and volunteer for naughty bachelorette-style party games.

At about 9.30pm, the Johannesburg foursome burst onto stage in law enforcement SWAT gear in a synchronised dance before tossing their jackets aside and turning the room into a Girls Gone Wild episode as they lap-danced through the rows.

Back on stage, the Pulse dancers were cheered as they performed various routines dressed as rock climbers, cowboys, construction workers and locker room jocks.

While performing as a cowboy, Haimov twisted his knee and was out for the remainder of the show.

In one of the final acts, a liquid was poured on stage and set alight, eliciting a huge eruption from the audience.

Women of all ages, married and single, were enthralled with their girls’ night out and many vowed they would return when the group descended on the Bay again.

Natashia Esau said: “It was the best show I ve ever seen.”

Makaziee Tsako said the show inspired her. “Society says we need to be intimate in a secret setting and here women of all ages were enjoying themselves.

“It was great to see women with different body types go up on stage and be free and flexible with their bodies.

“There was no judgment. I’ll definitely see the show again and bring all my girls with.”
