SECURITY INITIATIVES KEEP US SAFE

The Hilton Community Security Initiative (Hilton CSI) has been busy this month beautifying the suburb and keeping residents safe.

Thanks to Hilton CSI’s volunteer programme, Street Hawks, street signage is getting easier to read. The Street Hawks have taken it upon themselves to repaint the road signs or replace them altogether.

The main catalyst for this was police and security companies finding it hard to navigate their way around on emergency callouts, due to some of the weathered signage.

“We trust that with this effort the area will look better, and not so deteriorated, giving would-be property buyers a better impression of the area,” they said.

Street Hawks has also been involved in maintaining the verges and clearing the bushes around the periphery of areas.

Overgrown bushes provide ample hideouts for both criminals and their stolen goods.

All this is made possible by the monthly contributions of residents.
