Champagne Classics – May 2 to 5 In 1995, serial entrepreneur Monty Brett met up with Dr Richard Cock, SA’s favourite conductor.
Together they conjured up a spectacular event at Shingwedzi in the Kruger Park called Baroque in the Bush, which attracts large audiences every year, and celebrates its 27th anniversary this September.
Monty and Richard have teamed up again for more musical magic, this time at the Champagne Sports Resort in Central Drakensberg.
Join them for Champagne Classics, a weekend celebration of classical masterpieces from the likes of Mozart, Hadyn, Beethoven and other great composers, held from May 2 to 5.

Orchestra, a close-knit group who love playing together.
Enjoy evening orchestral concerts under Richard’s baton, and midday chamber concerts led by the musicians themselves.
Richard will give a music talk, and will host a light-hearted quiz with lots of laughs. At the chamber concerts, the musicians will engage with the audience, sharing interesting snippets about the music they’re performing.
This three-night event includes accommodation, all meals served at the help-yourself buffet in the restaurant, plus morning and afternoon teas on the veranda.
Only your drinks are not included. All in all, a fabulous, fun-filled weekend with likeminded people.
