THERE are a number of exciting events this week in which The Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine will be participat­ing.

Today the school will be doing a cooking demo at the Autumn Food Fayre at Eastvale Farm, D146, Rosetta. The farm is home to The Veg Box Company. The demonstrat­ion will be at noon.

“We would love to see you there and to share some cooking ideas with you,” says Cameron.

On Monday you can join her monthly cooking evening, Doing It The Cameron Way, at the school.

Here Cameron shares about 10 simple yet tantalisin­g recipes for home cooking from her books Jackie Cameron Cooks at Home and Baking with Jackie Cameron.

It will be followed by a casual dinner comprising tasters of the various dishes highlighte­d. A cash bar is provided.

The evening starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm. Tickets are R550 and booking is essential. Copies of all recipes are included in the fee. Cameron’s recipe books will be on sale and, if purchased on the evening, will be signed by the author.

On Wednesday enjoy a sundowner with a difference, where the students will pair bite-size tastings to showcase different wine estates.

“It’s a relaxed, informal gettogethe­r of people who enjoy fine fare and for those who would like to gain appreciati­on for this sociable activity. So, on the way home from work, stop off for a sundowner,” says Cameron.
