Adventure

Boulders Beach, a beloved Cape Town attraction, is the ideal weekend adventure. Located just outside of Simon’s Town, the picturesque destination is sheltered from the wind and makes for an ideal spot to dip your feet in the water and snap a selfie. Be on the lookout for the black and white African Penguins waddling around, lounging in the shade or swimming in the waves, occasionally emerging from the water to spy on tourists. Viewing is free. However, if you want to enter the beach, travellers pay R40 per adult and R20 for children if they bring valid South African identification.

Airlines

Emirates has become one of the first airlines in the world to operate a flight with fully vaccinated frontline teams.

Its flight departing Dubai at 8.30am for Los Angeles on Monday had all crew vaccinated. Included were check-in staff, security, Business and First Class lounge, boarding gate employees, engineers, pilots and cabin crew. Fully vaccinated aircraft loading, special handling teams and SkyCargo teams working on the cargo and logistics requirements for EK215 also supported the flight’s operations.

The Emirates Group rolled out its vaccination drive just over a month ago. Around 26 000, or 44% of the group’s UAE frontline aviation workforce, have received both doses of either the PfizerBioNTech or Sinopharm vaccines.
