MIGRANTS were still trying to cross from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on Wednesday after a record 8 000 people poured over the border this week. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that at least 5 600 migrants had been sent back. People have continued to gather on the Moroccan border with Spain. Police blocked dozens of youths, who responded by throwing rocks. The migrants reached Ceuta by swimming or by walking at low tide. One drowned.
