The project is being conducted in partnership with the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance, Impact Investing Ghana, Impact Investing South Africa and the national advisory boards for impact investing of Nigeria and Zambia. “We’re introducing the awards to recognise organisations across Africa that are doing valuable work at the intersection of finance and social development,” says Dr Graunt Kruger, managing director of Intellidex. “If we want transformation, we need to encourage investment in transformational businesses.”

FNB has launched the Wills on App function on the FNB/RMB App, which allows its customers to set up their wills easily, faster and at no cost. Sizwe Nxedlana, FNB’s Private Segment CEO, says: “It’s estimated that as many as 75% of South Africans who pass away don’t have a valid will in place. The Wills on App solution addresses this need and empowers our customers to draft and set up their wills efficiently.” Aneesa Razack, CEO of FNB Fiduciary, says the function offers customers a step-by-step process that guides them through the will drafting process. “It draws on existing financial information, but also allows customers to include assets or financial products held outside the bank.”
