JR’s back… selling himself
BEVERLY HILLS: JR wasn’t selling oil this time, he was selling himself. Larry Hagman, 79, who played cold, conniving oil baron JR Ewing on 1980s series Dallas, auctioned off many of his valuables on Saturday.
A silver saddle was the priciest item, fetching $80 000 (R535 963).
Other big items included a portrait of co-star Jim Davis that went for more than $38 000, and a pair of pistols that fetched more than $4 000. Hagman himself described items to the crowd.
The collection brought in more than $500 000. – Sapa-AP
