Man dies as truck plunges off bridge

A MAN died when a truck plunged off a bridge on the N2 near Gingindlovu yesterday.

It was not clear what caused the vehicle to drive off the Tugela River Bridge, Netcare 911 paramedics said.

The wreckage was found in a cane field 60m below the road. The passenger died on the scene. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. – Sapa
