Jail term for pupil

TOULOUSE: A French court yesterday sentenced a schoolboy to five years in jail, with three suspended, for stabbing his teacher in the chest after she ordered him to stay behind after school as punishment.

The boy was 13 at the time of the May 2009 attack. The teacher was seriously injured but has been able to teach again. – Sapa-AFP
