WELLINGTON: A Greek shipping company has agreed to pay the New Zealand government $31.5 million (R264m) towards the clean-up costs of a cargo ship’s grounding on a reef last year. The Rena ran aground on Astrolabe Reef, near Tauranga, on a calm night last October, spilling hundreds of tons of oil near beaches. – Sapa-AP
