KPMG’S newest young directors are going places

-

While Shabalala and Govind are now partner directors, both have been with the firm for years and have extensive experience in the information technology (IT) consulting services side of the business. Both now have director roles in growing KPMG’s IT services business in KZN, Shabalala on the management consulting side and Govind in charge of the IT advisory division.

“For me this appointment to director level was unexpected, but it is a great achievement. It’s a sign of the confidence that KPMG has in my abilities,” said Shabalala.

Govind said he was not surprised by his appointment, but it was welcome recognition having been an associate director already involved with KPMG’s IT advisory unit.

“Yes, we are young, but age had nothing to do with our appointments… KPMG would not have appointed us as directors if we did not
