Five Durban shows for Gauteng comics

DURBAN’S comedy event company, On Fire Comedy, is soon to present five local shows featuring awardwinni­ng Johannesbu­rg-based comedians .

One of Trevor Noah’s favourite acts, Robby Collins, as well as the comedian-guitarist, Deep Fried Man, will be sharing stages with some of Durban’s best acts.

On Tuesday, October 27, the Johannesbu­rg duo will share the spotlight with Durban’s Jem Atkins and Kuda at Mozambik, Ballito. Tickets cost R80 each and the number to call to book is 032 946 0979. Or send an e-mail to ballito@mozambik.co.za

On Wednesday, October 28, Collins and Deep Fried Man will share the stage from 8pm at Mozambik, Gateway, with Atkins and up-andcoming comedian Beach. Admission is R80 and bookings are 031 836 1574 or by mailing gateway@mozambik.co.za.

At 9pm that night, the Gauteng team will perform at Glenwood’s Amsterdam Comedy Club in Helen Joseph (formerly Davenport) Road, alongside locals Liam Johns, Dylan Shawn and Anry Payne.

On Thursday, October 29, Collins and Deep Fried Man will perform, from 8.30pm, at Morningsid­e’s New York Comedy Club – at a Halloween Special, featuring Kelvin Stoffels, as well as East Coast Radio’s Rory Petzer. Tickets cost R60 each (R50 if you dress up for Halloween). To book, phone 031 312 9605.

From 7.30pm on Friday, October 30, Collins and Deep Fried Man will be at uMhlanga’s Home Bru Graft Café.
