Increase in tourists

TOURISM arrivals into South Africa increased by 12.2% and were recorded at 822 416 for July 2016, compared to the previous year, the tourism department said yesterday.

There was an increase of 131 002 tourists in July 2016 compared to the same month in 2015, the department said in a statement. The total tourist arrivals from January 2016 to July 2016, stood at 5 791 504 – an increase of 14.9% compared to the same period in 2015. – ANA
