BERLIN: Mainz 05 midfielder Jose Rodriguez was banned for five matches and fined €10 000 (R157 000) yesterday for a reckless challenge on Augsburg’s Dominik Kohr that left the player requiring hospital treatment for a deep, 14cm-long cut in his thigh that left bones exposed.
