Who is Mugabe trying to fool?

-

ZIMBABWEAN President Robert Mugabe attending the world economic forum in Durban, when interviewed by a reporter, said his country was the second best economy after South Africa in Africa – he also claimed that Zimbabwe was not “fragile” but in a sound position.

If what Mugabe claims is true, then why has Eskom threatened to turn off the electricity in Zimbabwe?

The reason is because the Mugabe government would not settle a debt owed to the SA power utility by the end of May – R603 million is the total amount Zimbabwe owes Eskom at present. Zimbabwe also owes about R500 million to a Mozambican power producer.

What does Mugabe have to say about this? Although, he claims all is well in Zimbabwe – giving a brilliant picture of his country.

Where will Mugabe get all this money to pay Eskom and the Mozambican electricity producer?

Perhaps, he needs to befriend the Guptas and all his problems will slide away – jackpot. So much for Mugabe’s claim that Zimbabwe is not fragile. Who is he trying to fool? Big mouth. ISMAIL MOOLLA Umzinto
