Audit committee chairman resigns

OAKBAY Resources and Energy, which is owned by the Gupta family, said on Friday that Mark Pamensky, independent nonexecutive director and chairman of the audit committee, had resigned with effect from June 10. The statement added that Pamensky was also a member of the company’s risk; nomination; and social, ethics and remuneration committees. The Gupta family has suffered a series of blows, including the loss of senior staff and banking facilities, amid allegations of political meddling and state capture. – ANA
