Med School fraud trial

THE Sydenham teacher who allegedly sent nude photographs and sexually explicit messages to a 14-yearold girl will apply for bail next week.

The 33-year-old man appeared at the Durban Magistrate’s Court yesterday, facing charges of sexual grooming and displaying pornography.

The case was postponed until next Monday, while police verify personal circumstances.

According to the latest South African Council for Educators (Sace) annual report, 97 cases of sexual misconduct or rape were reported to them. Of these 11 were in KZN. – Mercury Reporter
