TIME is running out for Maritzburg United but Muhsin Ertugral is not panicking.

The Team of Choice are rooted at the foot of the Absa Premiership table with 11 points after 16 league matches.

In his first two assignments Ertugral lost to Golden Arrows and Free State Stars.

The Team of Choice next week travel to Pretoria to meet unbeaten Mamelodi Sundowns. United have one victory in the league.

Ertugral is hopeful of a

turnaround.

“We need to motivate the boys. They are devastated. We need to lift them. There’s enough games to win. You win two games in a row and you are out (of the relegation). There’s still a lot of hope. We mustn’t lose hope. That’s the most important thing. When the team is on the full strength we will be much better,” optimistic Ertugral said.

Maritzburg are missing Fortune Makaringe, Mohau Mokate, Keagan Buchanan and Rushine De Reuck through injuries. Yannick Zakri is also still Awol.

“It’s not raining but it pours at the moment. We have the challenge in the middle of the park. We are hopeful that Makaringe (Fortune) will be back. Matsi (Mpho) and Makaringe will give us a lot of balance not to lose the ball and find the right entries,” he added.

Ertugral roped in Mabhudi Khenyeza as his assistant and Ronnie Kanalelo as the goalkeeper coach. He bolstered his squad with striker Judas Moseamedi on Wednesday. Moseamedi started training yesterday. He worked with Ertugral at Black Aces.
