Does anyone care that Durban stinks?

THIS seems to be my annual gripe when I return from a visit to Cape Town, indeed the beautiful city.

Do our council members know that many people now refer to Durban as Dirttown?

By comparison to Cape Town, Durban is a slum. Even the informal settlements look tidier in the Cape Town area.

I have for many years enjoyed a stroll along the prom from Blue Waters to Ushaka. Even this is being spoiled by the stench of sewage and urine. Does nobody care any more?
