Moz restoring areas after 2 cyclones
VINHO: When Cyclone Idai roared through central Mozambique in March, it made 200 000 people homeless and destroyed about 2 million acres of crops.
Weeks later, a second cyclone hit northern Mozambique. Together the storms affected 3 million people, according to the UN.
Five months later, tens of thousands of Mozambicans are busy rebuilding their homes, fields and lives with assistance from international aid organisations, the Mozambican government and the Gorongosa National Park Restoration Project. |
