Women deserve to be treated with respect

-

WHEN we see in our civilised society, the unabated incidence of killings, rape and domestic violence against women, we feel ashamed. Such acts are not human in man but animal in man.

Gender-based violence should be dealt with seriously.

It is common practice to flout women’s dignity in almost every field and occupation. They have to endure physical, mental and emotional torture. Abuse and constant atrocities put victims in a position of frustration, so they become pessimistic and in some cases they succumb to suicide.

It is imperative we save women from insecure environments and provide sympathetic support.

For pecuniary advantage they have to select a humiliating path where they have no social status but their lives and health come under risk. How can we ignore this? Who is responsible for this situation?

When people fail to give respect, honour and dignity to women, then society can collapse.

The real architects of society are women. Their meaningful contributions make the path to progress fruitful.

Behind every man’s success there is a woman supporting him. She can be the heroine of your life when you act with grace without hurting her.

“The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world” – in this poetic verse William Ross beautifully admires the value of mothers and conveys the message that women are an unimaginable source of inspiration. If we give an honourable status to women, we will be able to construct a healthy society.
