Why is vaccine roll-out so slow?

-

GERMANY has started to vaccinate just over 1million people per day, and we have managed to vaccinate after four months just over 300000 people.

Even Zimbabwe and Sierra Leone have done better and we are the number 34 country in Africa.

And although a new batch of vaccines arrived on May 3 we have to wait up to May 17 to start vaccination. Why? Are we so incompetent?

And why does the government want to be the only authority for the purchasing and distribution of vaccines?

I guess for their connected cadres to score millions again.

Why don’t they give their cadres the task of plugging the potholes and begging the private sector to help them?

I guess there is no money to be made with potholes.

When are they going to stop looting and plundering this country?

But, of course, the ANC government will come up with waffle and spin and give us a thousand excuses as to why this is happening. JEAN MICHEL BOUVIER | Bryanston
